Whether you are an author or a reviewer, you have the same ability to work with edits and comments that have been submitted by others. For the purpose of explanation I’ll focus on the author role, but keep in mind that Reviewers can do all of the same things within their own version of the document.
When a reviewer submits their changes to the author, their name instantly shows up on the ’Tasklist’ in the right rail of the document window. The image below shows an Author’s view with 5 changes in their Tasklist awaiting their review. In this case there are 4 approvals and one rejection (indicated by the checkmark or X)

Once these changes display in the Tasklist, you can then select each one to view the edits and comments that have been submitted. Upon clicking one set of changes from the Tasklist, these changes will load in the reviewer pane underneath the working copy. Alongside this document on the left, will display details regarding who submitted the changes and what version these changes refer to. You can easily switch between viewing the differences or “tracked changes” along with related comments.

Differences and Comments
Once the reviewer’s document has loaded, as an author, you’ll see their document presented with “Track Changes” - meaning that you see all of the changes the reviewer made to the document. Deleted text shows up as Red and inserted text as green. To view the comments, simply select the “View Comments” link in the left pane. You’ll then see all the related comments that the reviewer submitted along with that document.
Editing
uring this process you always have the ability to edit your working copy based on your own changes or those submitted by others. You have complete control over your document. In addition to simply editing the document like you normally would, there are a couple of features that make it easier to incorporate changes from reviewers.
Copy and Paste
Once you have loaded a reviewer’s copy, you have complete ability to highlight any text or portion of text. Once highlighted you can then copy the text (including the track changes) by right clicking on your mouse or using ctrl-c . You can then place your cursor anywhere in your working copy and paste the change. (Or you can highlight text in the working copy that you’d like to replace and paste the change in its place.)Upon doing so, all of the suggested edits (that you can see in track changes) are then applied automatically to the document.
Drag and Drop
Another great way to work with changes is to drag and drop them from the reviewer copy into your working copy. This works in a similar fashion to copy and pasting. To start you simply drag and highlight a section of the text in the reviewer copy that you’d like to move into your working copy, including all of the tracked changes. Once highlighted, click and hold above the highlight section and drag (while holding the mouse button down) to the section of your working copy that you’d like to apply the change. Then let go of the mouse button. Q4 Press will automatically insert the selected text and apply all of the changes to your working copy.
