Q4 Press follows a very simple model for users and roles. A user is defined as a person who has access to the Q4 Press interface. Each user can have a different role per press release.

User Types

Administrators: Administrators have the ability to add and remove users from the system. This is the only difference between a user with administrative rights and a general user.

General User: General users can be authors, reviewers or approvers for any press release however they do not have the ability to add and remove users from the system.

Roles

Author: An author is considered to be the person who ‘owns’ the press release. The author is the only user with access to modify the original press release document and incorporate changes from reviewers. View the Getting Started Guide for Authors.

Reviewers: A reviewer can submit document changes and comment on a document but they cannot modify the original document or incorporate any changes from other other reviewrs. More>>

Approvers: An approver has the same rights a reviewer has in the sense they can submit changes and comments. They key difference with an Approver is that they also have the ability to accept or reject a document. More>>
