As the author of the document you have the ability to solicit feedback from participants (reviewers or approvers). Based on the type of feedback you require you may designate a participant as a reviewer, an approver or as both. When you broadcast to your participants to receive feedback you can easily select whether you are looking for feedback and/or for approval.
Reviewers are able to provide feedback in the form of comments and direct edits to the document.. Designating participants as reviewers is the best choice during early drafts of the document when you are looking for initial feedback.
Approvers are able to do the same things reviewers can (edits and comments) but are also able to Approve or Deny the document submitted to them. An unlimited number of changes can be submitted along with their approval (or denial).

Allowing approvers to submit changes with their approval or denial helps provide complete control and flexibility to the author. For example: Let’s say that you have broadcasted to an individual for approval and they respond back with an approval based on certain changes. You have the ability to either incorporate these changes if you deem them important or to not include them, but continue on with the approval. (The related benefit of Q4 Press is that the approver’s suggested changes are automatically captured as part of the record. )
This type of flexibility is a key concept of Q4 Press, allowing you to work the way that you are used to without any unnecessary blocks from software. This is very different from other workflow or document management systems where you’ll find many hard blocks. Using Q4 Press you get all the flexibility you need with the added benefit of a complete and detailed record that can be reported on. (more on records and reporting here)
