1) click the ‘Image Manager‘ icon in the toolbar

2) click the ‘Upload’ Tab on the image manager and upload your image

3) after the image has been uploaded, click the ‘Create Thumbnail‘ button:

4) When you click the ‘Create Thumbnail‘ button you will see this screen:

Here you can choose the size of the thumbnail and the name of the new file.  When you have entered the size you want the thumbnail to be, click ‘Create‘

5) In the left pane of the ‘Image Manager‘, click the name of newly created thumbnail image  (#1 in the screenshot below)

6) check the “link to original‘ checkbox and the ‘open in new window‘ box (#2 in the screenshot above)

7) click ‘insert‘ and save your content.  You can then preview it and then submit and publish the HTML section you modified.

We’d like to showcase recent updates we have done for one of our clients, Canadian Oil Sands, to show you the before and after screen-shots of how these simple updates can simplify your homepage.

What we updated:

• added our new Investor Briefcase
• added link to email alerts and RSS feeds
• simplified the layout from a 3 column to 2 column layout
• updated the styles for the sections for a cleaner look

Before:

Information was spread out across multiple sections, email alerts and RSS feed links were not visible on the homepage and the 3 columns made it difficult to organize information.

After:

We reduced the homepage to a 2 column layout, added our investor briefcase module and made some simple visual updates to organize the information to make it easier to find.  These updates are not live on their site at the time this post went to press, but you can see the difference in the screen-shot below.

1. Login to your admin control panel
2. Select “Job Posting List” from the “Content Admin” drop-down in the main menu
3. Click “Add New” or edit an existing job listing
4. Enter the information for your job posting:
   1. Country: The country the job is located in (IE: Canada)
   2. Location: The city the job is located in (IE: Toronto)
   3. Division:  Here you can specify a particular office location or division of the company (IE: Corporate Office)
   4. Job Title: The job title
   5. Job Type: select Full-time, Part-time or Contract from the drop-down menu
   6. Job Function: the department or function the job is located in (IE: Accounting Department or IT Department)
   7. Manager’s Email: The email address entered here will receive the applicant’s request when they submit the application form on your site
   8. Date Posted: when the job was posted.  This date does not control when the posting will show up on your site
   9. Closing Date: when you will stop accepting applications for this position.  When this date is reached, site visitors will no longer be able to apply for the position but it will remain visible on your site
   10. Summary/Qualifications: free-form HTML for you to enter the job description
5. Click Save

You are able to preview the changes before publishing them by clicking the ‘Preview’ button at the top right corner of your admin panel.  When you are happy with the listing, Submit and Publish.

If you are leveraging Q4 WEB email alerts, you have the ability to add subscribers via the admin tool.

1. Login to your admin panel at http://wwwyourdomain.com/login.aspx
2. Click the “Email Admin - > Subscribers” option from the main menu
3. Click ‘Add New‘ to add a new subscriber
4. Enter the person’s email address and check both the “active” and “validated” box
5. Check the box for each type of alert that subscriber wants to receive.

You can always selectively re-broadcast to people in the existing phase.  The difference is that:

• As the Author, if you haven’t made any changes to the document since your last broadcast the *same* version will be resent *and* your notification message will be pre-filled with the content message of your last broadcast.  e.g. nothing has changed so you are just *re*-sending the same version.
• If, as the Author, you have made minor changes you can still selectively send to anyone currently in the phase.  So you could exclude people on the list that you feel would be redundant to resend to.
• The limitation is that you can not re-broadcast a previous major version - but you can always selectively broadcast as covered above.

The short answer to this question is to simply broadcast the current version but to only to the missing Reviewers. They will get an email message as usual, and you can customize that broadcast message to their lack of feedback and/or approval.

One last point: if you are re-broadcasting the same version, the persons who already received that version will be un-checked by default when you go to the Broadcast page (see the screen capture attached).  This helps prevent confusion as to why a Reviewer should receive the exact same version twice -Q4 Press always tries to minimize “version hell”
